Power Sunrise Smoothie

Pineapple Strawberry Smoothie | Pretty Polymath

This month I decided to join another blog group called the Secret Recipe Club. Every month members assigned a blog from which they have to create and post an original recipe from. It’s a great way to meet new bloggers and try new dishes. The fun part is that you don’t know who has you blog and what recipe they will choose. Members then post their re-creations on the same day and find out who had their blog!

Pineapple Strawberry Smoothie | Pretty PolymathThis month I was assigned to Amy’s blog, The Savvy Kitchen, who specializes in low-calorie, low carb and gluten-free cooking. The inspiration for her recipes stem from her family and their favorite dishes. Amy shares some awesome recipes for kids every Tuesday. I actually tried six recipes from her blog and they did not fail me. Her banana cream pie is so easy to make and delicious!

This morning my husband went for a bike ride across the city of San Francisco while I worked at home. I figured he’d like something fresh and light when he got back, so I hit up Amy’s blog and found this simple smoothie recipe. He got back all sweaty and gross and was happy to see a nice, cold,  refreshing smoothie ready for him! It only takes 5 minutes to make and makes the perfect energy boosting breakfast. Give it a try!

  1. Hetal! Welcome to the group 🙂 So glad to have you. I had your blog this month and absolutely cannot wait to try more of your recipes! This smoothie looks delicious, especially after a yoga class or before a run or bike through town. I am always looking for new quick smoothie ideas to energize my workouts. This looks sooooo refreshing, especially for my hot and humid days down here in Houston. 🙂

  2. Welcome to the SRC! I have been with this group for like over 4 years now and it has been a joy to get to know so many other bloggers out there. Oh, not to mention the occasional bouncing ideas off one another on the Facebook group. I love smoothies in the morning especially when we are behind on time and need a quick breakfast on the go!
